ProENTRY IV installation is a routine process facilitated by a familiar wizard interface. Step-by-step instructions are provided below in the event that you have questions.

Log on to Windows with administrator privileges

In the Download and Install ProENTRY Echelon IV page, click on "Download Now" and save the file "ProENTRY4Setup.exe" Tell me more.
Launch the "ProENTRY4Setup.exe" installer.Tell me more.
Select Next and enter the Installation Password provided in your email notification
Select Next and review the terms of the Software License Agreement. If you accept the terms of the agreement, select "I accept the terms in the license agreement." If not, select "I do not accept the terms in the license agreement" and Click on Cancel.
Select Next and fill in the User Name (your name) and Company Name. Also, choose whether ProENTRY IV will be available to all users of the computer or just to yourself.
Select Next and choose the desired Setup Type:
Demo or Stand Alone Installation - Select this for a Stand Alone demo/evaluation installation.
File Server Setup - Create ProENTRY IV's shared directory structure on the file server. Be sure to provide full read/write access to this location. Not for demo/evaluation.
Catalog and Order Management Workstation- ProENTRY IV Catalog and Order Management workstation Not for demo/evaluation.
Order Management Workstation - ProENTRY IV Order Management workstation. Not for demo/evaluation.
Production/Shipping Manager Workstation- Workstation installation for Production and Shipping Management only. Not for demo/evaluation.
Custom - Choose which program features you want installed and where they will be installed. Recommended for advanced users. Not for demo/evaluation.
Select Next and, if you have previously selected the Demo or Stand Alone Installation Setup Type, check the "Install Microsoft SQL Desktop Engine" option. If you intend to manually create and configure the required MS SQL database, uncheck the "Install Microsoft SQL Desktop Engine" option before Selecting Next. If you have not selected the Demo or Stand Alone Installation Setup Type, please skip ahead to the next step.
Depending upon the Setup Type previously selected, you may be presented with the option to install AutoNET support. AutoNET allows workstations to automatically upgrade their program files from the file server when a newer version of ProENTRY IV is installed on the server. Please check or clear the check box as desired and select Next.
Specify the folder where the ProENTRY IV program files will be installed. It is strongly recommended that you accept the default location. Select Next.
Depending upon the Setup Type previously selected, you may be presented with Shared Server Directory dialog. Specify the location on a file server where ProENTRY IV access shared files, stores documents, image files, security files, etc. This folder must be accessible to all ProENTRY IV users. Select Next.
You are now ready to install ProENTRY IV and the installer will provide a list of the options you have selected. Select Next to install ProENTRY IV.
A progress dialog will be displayed to inform you of the components being installed and the overall progress
If you have previously selected the Demo or Stand Alone Installation Setup Type and have chosen to install the Microsoft SQL 2000 Server Desktop Engine (MSDE), you will be presented with a window explaining that the ProENTRY IV Installer is about to relinquish control to the Microsoft MSDE installer. The MSDE installation process can require a significant amount of time, so please be patient. Select OK to install the MSDE or Cancel to skip it.
After the MSDE installation is complete, the computer will restart. After restarting, the ProENTRY IV Installer will automatically display the installation progress dialog and resume the installation process.
This completes the installation Of ProENTRY Echelon IV. Select Finish to close the installer. Depending upon options you have selected and whether or not this is a fresh installation, ProENTRY IV may launch the Configuration Utility or the Catalog and Data Maintenance module.
